Notice of Absorption Merger

To all those who support SOLIT from day to day

SOLIT, Inc. will merge with another company that shares the same CEO, morning after cutting my hair, Inc. ; a planning and PR company that specializes in solving social issues. The fashion service “SOLIT!” will continue to offer its services for corporate clients, as well as the design consulting business and other projects that SOLIT has been involved in.

The background and thoughts behind the merger are expressed in the Journal article. If you are interested in learning more about the merger, we hope you will take a look at that article.

Over the past four years since its establishment, we have continued to take on the challenge of first building a solid case for moving toward an all-inclusive society in which “no one is left behind. Thanks to your support, “SOLIT!” as a fashion service has received numerous domestic and international awards, and we believe that it has become a product that is welcomed with love, one garment by one.

On the other hand, our goal is not to continue to exist only as a fashion service as we had envisioned from the beginning, but to take the next step toward an “ All-Inclusive Society,” we have been working for the past year to develop a project to provide run-along support to develop inclusive solutions in Japan and abroad in collaboration with a variety of businesses. We have been working with a number of companies to implement projects that will lead to an inclusive solution. As we have been working with a number of companies to promote the project and talking with many people, we have realized that there are still many obstacles to be overcome in the corporate sector. We have come to feel that more elaborate dialogue and extensive support may be needed to promote essential DE&I and move toward the realization of an all-inclusive society, which can and should be done primarily by for-profit companies, not just by welfare organizations.

Now that SOLIT has completed its appearance at the Vancouver Fashion Collection (VFW), a major event that will serve as a “ leading precedent” for services that reflect the state of inclusive design, we have reached a point where we can no longer focus on inclusive design in the context of “fashion” and can concentrate on proposing solutions and consulting services based on inclusive design.

We have decided to take the next step by merging with morning after cutting my hair, Inc.: a planning and PR company that originally shared the same CEO, to promote the new development of SOLIT with the experience and knowledge gained so far at SOLIT!

We wanted to “carefully deal with the people we work with, create opportunities for them to change their feelings and attitudes, and connect them to each other” - we believe that in order to realize the all-inclusive society that SOLIT advocates, even if each individual change is small, it is important to create a ripple effect through a chain of individual changes.

However, in order to achieve this, it is not enough to implement just one workshop or project, but rather it is necessary to continue more detailed engagement with multiple parties and a narrative that reaches firmly to the audience. To this end, we hope to apply the experience and skills that morning company possesses to SOLIT as well.

Even after the merger, we will continue to develop the “SOLIT” name, philosophy, and this web page.

Although the name of the company as the operating entity will be changed, the nature of the company, its brand approach, and the things we value will remain unchanged. Toward the “business development to expand the circle of collaboration,” which was originally envisioned as the next step, we plan to strengthen the consulting and inclusive solution proposal businesses within “morning company” in the coming time.

Some of you may be taken aback by this sudden announcement, but we hope that we can continue to work together with all of you who have supported us in the past toward the all-inclusive society we are striving for.

We look forward to your continued support of SOLIT as we embark on a new start toward the realization of an all-inclusive society.
