The documentary video 'All Inclusive Society / The World Beyond Diversity' has finally been released. This video captures our whole journey throughout Vancouver Fashion Week in April 2024, in which we, SOLIT, were invited to participate.
The fashion show we spent a year putting together - a world beyond diversity.
Introduction
Diversity is the concept behind Vancouver Fashion Week (VFW), which takes place in Vancouver, a city of great cultural diversity. The VFW is open for brands from all over the world, regardless of nationality and race. SOLIT was invited by the VFW and, after much consideration, we decided to participate.
SOLIT stands on the stage of the global fashion week. We believe that conveying our vision of an all-inclusive society and showing the way fashion should be at this VFW stage is significantly meaningful as these fashion collections create a trend thus an era.
We spent about a year developing this fashion show, collaborating with a diverse range of people from the planning stage and aiming to solve diverse fashion issues through a holistic design approach to designing the product and the show. This is, so to speak, a practice of radical participatory and inclusive design. We have intentionally constructed our runway show as a kind of demonstrative activity for the future.
The runway lasts only 10 minutes.
