SOLIT's First Event of 2024 is at Two Locations in Kobe

In early February 2024, SOLIT will hold its first special three-day event at two locations in Kobe. Last year, many of our events were held in the Tokyo area, and we received feedback that it was difficult for people from their area to come and join the event. This time, we will be holding a different type of event in Kobe. We are looking forward to meeting you all.

The first is the "Meguru Summit - Taste of Sustainability" to be held at KIITO Hall in Kobe from Friday, February 2 to Saturday, February 3. This conference focuses on "sustainability" and is an opportunity for related businesses and start-ups to come together. It will be a great opportunity to meet and interact with those who are interested in sustainability. We look forward to seeing you all there.

The second site, "Fashion for Care - Joy of Wearing - Joy of Putting on Shoes" will be held on Sunday, February 4 at the Kobe branch of Meister Shoe Factory KAJIYA. 2 other companies besides SOLIT will join us to provide a wonderful time where fashion and welfare come together.

Please find detailed information for each event below.

Fashion for Care "The Joy of Wearing and the Joy of Putting on Shoes”

Physical features, disabilities, and age. Each person has a different personality, and it is very important for each individual to shine and expand his or her possibilities. Inclusive design products and technical aids (welfare equipment) designed to expand the possibilities of individuals are now available all over Japan and the world.

However, opportunities to come into contact with such products are limited to those introduced by collaborating businesses through hospitals and rehabilitation facilities, or sometimes by searching on the Web.

Therefore, we will hold a one-day limited event where you can have direct contact with wonderful inclusive design products and technical aids that you do not have many chances to come in contact with on a regular basis.

“Meister Shoe Factory KAJIYA" is a shoe factory that makes shoes that not only function as orthotics for walking, but are also designed to expand the possibilities of the wearer. “SOLIT!" is a semi-personalized fashion brand with inclusive design that allows each person's differences and individuality to shine through. “Vilhelm Hertz Japan”, a custom-made cane brand born in Denmark with a beauty that gives people the power to live.

Clothes, canes, and shoes. Since these are things we wear on a daily basis, why not make them into products with a special attention to detail that will make individuals shine?

We hope this event will be a place for new encounters and connections.

【Exhibitors】
Meister Shoe Factory KAJIYA
KAJIYA has been providing footwear such as insoles and shoes to people with various problems for 40 years since its establishment under the theme of "Bringing Joy of Walking to You. The company helps people with functional disabilities, such as difficulty walking in commercially available shoes due to foot deformities, and psychological disabilities, such as not wanting to wear shoe orthotics because they are too bulky, black, or tacky, by making custom-made products that meet each individual's needs.

SOLIT
SOLIT is a semi-personalized fashion brand that allows customers to choose from more than 1,600 options for size, specifications, and length according to their own preferences and body shape for each part. It was established in September 2020 with the aim of creating an "all inclusive" society that leaves no one behind, including diverse human beings, nature, and animals. The company develops services using the "inclusive design" method, which involves medical and welfare professionals and parties involved in issues from the planning stage.

Vilhelm Hertz Japan
Vilhelm Hertz Japan is established in Hundested, a small rural town in the north of the Danish island of Sjælland, where two craftsmen, one a woodworker and the other a metal worker, create custom-made canes with the aim of adding beauty to welfare equipment. The materials, shape, function, craftsmanship, and design are all designed to be comfortable for people to use, and all become beauty, giving people the power to live. In 2018, when Miyata, the representative of Japan, worked at the studio as a live-in worker, he was told, " I leave it to you to promote this cane in Japan. Since 2023, He has been working with Japanese craftsmen to make canes with Denmark Design × Made in Japan.
